What exactly is permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup (also called PMU or cosmetic tattooing) is a semi-permanent technique where pigment is delicately implanted into the upper layers of the skin to enhance features like brows, lips, and eyeliner. Unlike traditional tattoos, the pigment is placed shallower so it fades gracefully over 1–3 years.
Is permanent makeup safe?
Absolutely — when done correctly. We use single-use, sterile, hypoallergenic tools and premium pigments approved for cosmetic use. The studio follows strict hygiene protocols at every step. A consultation will also screen for any contraindications before booking.
Will it look natural?
Yes — that's the entire philosophy behind Mor Berta Beauty. Every shape is mapped to your face, every pigment is custom-mixed to your skin tone and hair color, and every technique is chosen to suit your skin type. The goal is always for people to think you simply have great features, not that you've had work done.
Who shouldn't get permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, currently using Accutane, undergoing chemotherapy, have certain skin conditions in the treatment area, have uncontrolled diabetes, or have a history of keloid scarring. Always disclose your full medical history during consultation.
Microblading vs. Ombré vs. Combré — what's the difference?
Microblading creates fine, hair-like strokes — best for natural, dry-to-normal skin and a "barely there" look.
Ombré Powder Brows uses a machine to softly shade the brow, giving a powder makeup finish — ideal for oily skin, mature skin, or anyone wanting a more defined look.
Combré blends both: hair strokes at the front, powder shading through the body and tail. The most natural-but-styled finish.

How long do brows last?
Microblading typically lasts 12–24 months. Ombré and Combré last 1–3 years. Longevity depends on skin type, sun exposure, skincare routine, and lifestyle. Annual touch-ups keep results crisp.
Which technique is right for me?
Skin type is the biggest factor. Dry skin holds microblading beautifully. Oily skin tends to blur fine strokes — ombré is more reliable. Combré works for combination skin or anyone wanting more definition. We'll recommend the right option during your consultation.
What does Lip Blush feel like — and how long does it last?
Lip Blush feels like a mild vibration with very minor scratchiness — completely manageable thanks to numbing cream. Results last 1–3 years. Color settles to a soft, natural tint about 4–6 weeks after the appointment.
Is the eye area safe to tattoo?
Yes, when performed by a trained, certified artist. We use specialized fine needles, sterile single-use tools, and pigment-safe placement techniques. The eyes are kept closed throughout and the experience is calm and comfortable.
Will eyeliner look harsh?
Not with our technique. We focus on lash line enhancement and soft definition — no thick wings, no heavy black lines. The result is the look of fuller, darker lashes, not a drawn-on liner.
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe it as minimal to none. We use a high-quality numbing cream before and during the procedure. Most describe a mild scratching or vibration sensation. Pain tolerance varies, but the studio prioritizes comfort throughout.
What's the aftercare?
Avoid water, sweat, sun, makeup and picking the area for 7–10 days. Apply the provided aftercare ointment as directed. Detailed written instructions are given at your appointment so you have everything you need.
How long is the healing process?
Surface healing takes 7–14 days. Days 1–3 the area looks bold; days 4–7 it begins to flake and lighten; weeks 4–6 the final color settles. A perfecting touch-up is required at 6–8 weeks.
Why does it look "too dark" right after?
This is completely normal. Pigment appears 30–50% darker for the first few days as it sits in the upper skin. Once healing is complete, the final color is significantly softer and more natural — exactly what was designed.
