Epilepsy, diabetes, hemophilia, or any heart disease

Clients with these conditions should obtain approval from their physician prior to any tattooing procedure.

Pregnancy or nursing

While there is no medical evidence of tattooing affecting an unborn child, we suggest erring on the side of caution and waiting until after childbirth and nursing

Clients under 18 years of age

Microblading and permanent makeup procedures are generally not recommended for individuals under 18 years old.

Accutane, Retin-A, or Topical steroids

Clients using these medications that thin the skin should consult their doctor as the condition of their skin may not be suitable for the procedure.

Prescription medication or treatments affecting the dermal layer

Clients undergoing treatments or using medications that affect the dermal layer of the skin should seek clearance from their doctor.

Anticoagulants (blood thinners) and certain medications

Long-term use of blood thinners, aspirin, ibuprofen, or certain herbal medications may increase bleeding and bruising, affecting pigment implantation and healing time. Consult with your physician regarding these medications.

Auto-immune disease

Clients with auto-immune diseases should consult their doctor before considering permanent makeup.

Diabetes

Diabetic clients may experience compromised healing and longer recovery times. However, with proper control of the condition, a doctor's clearance may be obtained.

Glaucoma

Clients with glaucoma are not suitable candidates for permanent eyeliner due to increased intraocular pressure. Consult with your physician for consent regarding eyeliner application.

Blood disorders

Clients with blood disorders such as hemophilia, sickle cell anemia, or platelet disorders may interfere with pigment implantation, but successful procedures are still possible. Consult with your physician.

Mitral valve prolapse, artificial heart valves, artificial joints

Clients requiring prophylactic antibiotics before dental or other procedures should consult their physician for treatment prior to permanent makeup.

History of herpes simplex

Clients prone to fever blisters and cold sores should discuss the procedure with their physician and receive proper instructions to prevent outbreaks. Antiviral medication may be prescribed.
